Building Defect Surveys
We offer building defect surveys for both the residential and commercial sector. When working with old, new or partially completed buildings, we can verify the good and expose the bad.
We can quickly identify building defects and report problem areas to you before any failure occurs. Whether you have damp/mould problems, roof leakage, missing insulation, our Infrared equipment can pinpoint the problem areas. This effectively means that we can tell you exactly what areas need repair, leaving you to concentrate on those and only those areas that require attention.

Comprehensive Report
In addition to a full survey you receive a comprehensive report which includes:
- Elevated photos of your property, giving it the best possible view.
- Concise analysis of thermographic images that show visual evidence of damage.
- Summary of any urgent defects and significant matters.
- Recommendations on remedies. Our advice is not based on rough estimates. Infrared technology allows us to pinpoint where your property requires attention.

Structural Defects
Our Infrared Surveys are able to detect hidden structural defects that would otherwise have gone unoticed. As can be seen in the image on the right, faulty brickwork has been picked through rendered gable wall.
Missing/Bad Insulation Detection
Just because insulation was installed does not mean that it was done properly. The results of poor insulation can often be more than just clostly utility bills. It can often lead to condensation problems which can in turn create conditions that lead to mold growth, rotting wood, insect infestation and even structural failure.
Cladding and Window Water leaks
Water can cause severe problems to any building because it can enter in dozens, even hundreds of locations in a typical building. Infrared technology can prove invaluable in identifying water intrusion. Unsealed or incorrectly sealed areas, misalignment of materials are all common construction defects that can cause severe problems and sometimes massive failure of a building.
Flat Roof Leak Detection
Roofs are prone to leakage. Infrared technology is very fast and the only cost effective method to verify the itegrity of the entire roof. Leaks can often be elusive, and can remain undetected for years, and can degrade the insulation value and can potentially corrode structural components.
